A case has come to light of Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary receiving a death threat from an unknown person. According to the police, this threat has been given through a message sent on the mobile phone of a supporter of Samrat Choudhary, which says that ‘the Deputy CM will be shot within 24 hours.’
According to the news agency report, as soon as the information about the incident was received, there was a stir in the police department. Although no formal complaint has been lodged in this regard so far, but Patna (Central) SP Diksha said that investigation has been started on the basis of the threatening message and technical evidence is being collected.
He said, ‘We have started investigating the technical aspects and a case will be registered soon. Let us tell you that Samrat Chaudhary is the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar from BJP quota and is a very active political leader.
Police investigating the matter
The police say that a thorough investigation is being conducted on all aspects such as from which number the message came, whose name the number is in and what is its location. The cyber cell has also become active in the matter. At present, the security of the Deputy Chief Minister has been increased.
