What to keep in mind
IndusInd Bank’s Direct Banking Head Ritesh Raj Saxena says:
If your old FASTag is ‘low balance’ or ‘hotlisted’, a new FASTag will not be issued.
Low Balance means – there is no money in the FASTag account.
Hotlisted means – the tag has been blocked for some reason (such as misuse, violation of rules).
2. If the FASTag is rejected, you will be told the reason and you can apply again.
What is FASTag?
From 2021, it has become mandatory to install FASTag for four-wheelers in India. It is a system based on RFID technology that allows non-stop payment at the toll plaza of the highway. It is linked to the registration number of your vehicle and is connected to the wallet issued by the bank.
