PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana: The central government has approved the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana. This scheme will run for the next 6 years and will cover 100 districts of the country. A budget of Rs 24,000 crore has been fixed for this every year.
The aim of this scheme is to provide better storage facilities to the farmers after harvesting, improve the irrigation system and increase the yield of farming.

PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana: How will you get its benefit?
Through the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, the government is trying to move small and marginal farmers towards modern and profitable farming. This scheme will increase agricultural production, as well as encourage farmers to grow different crops so that their income increases. Emphasis will be laid on adopting sustainable agricultural practices so that environmental balance is maintained.
After harvesting, storage facilities will be strengthened at the panchayat and block level so that there is no loss of produce. Apart from this, irrigation facilities will be improved and farmers will be provided with cheap and easily available loans so that they can invest in farming and increase production capacity.
1.7 crore farmers will get direct benefit
The government believes that about 1.7 crore farmers will get direct benefit from this scheme. This scheme was already announced in the budget and now it has got the green signal from the cabinet.
