Getting a passport has become easier than before. Just by scanning the passport applicant QR code of the Regional Passport Office and the Ministry of External Affairs on an Android phone, detailed information will be displayed. Earlier, one had to go to the Ministry of External Affairs website to get it from different link slots. The new building of the Regional Passport Office was formally inaugurated with the new service.
Minister Krishna Gaur, Vishwas Sarang, Joint Secretary KJ Srinivas, Vineet Mathur were present. Regional Passport Officer Shitanshu Chaurasia said that through the advisory QR code, applicants can easily get information about all the rules of the Ministry of External Affairs, including getting a passport, sitting at home. For this, they will not need to visit any unauthorized service provider.
Arrangement for seating of 900 applicants
Using the advisory QR code service on your mobile phone, the application can be easily submitted online by filling in the correct information. A message will be sent to the applicant’s mobile to come on the scheduled date and time for physical verification. In this way, the entire process of making a passport will be completed in easy steps. After the passport is made by the Ministry of External Affairs, it will be sent to the registered address through secure postal service. Arrangement has been made for seating of 1900 applicants simultaneously in the new building.
