The Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad killed 265 people, including 242 on board. Meanwhile, the country’s largest insurer Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Friday said it has relaxed the claim settlement process for the families of the victims and has also expedited the process. LIC said, “All efforts will be made to reach out to the claimants and settle the claims of the affected families at the earliest. For further assistance, claimants can contact the nearest LIC branch.” The statement said that claimants can also call LIC’s call centre at 022-68276827.
