Heavy Rain Warning: Rain is going to start once again in many areas of the country. The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert from 11 to 16 June.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that monsoon may remain active in many areas in the coming days. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains may occur at some places in South Peninsular India from 11 to 16 June.
A cyclonic circulation is formed over northwest Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas. At the same time, a trough line is also extending from northwest Uttar Pradesh to Telangana crossing Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Another western disturbance is also present. Due to these seasonal activities, heavy rains may occur in many areas in the coming days. Heat is expected to increase in many areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at most places in Kerala and Mahe, Karnataka, Lakshadweep during the next 7 days. Very heavy rains may occur in many areas. Strong winds will also blow at many places.
Very heavy rains are likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during June 12 to 16. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely over coastal Karnataka on June 16, over Kerala and Mahe during June 14 to 16.
According to IMD, on June 11, light to moderate rains are likely at some places over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds with speed of 30 to 50 kmph.
Stormy winds may blow at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa during 12th to 14th June. Very heavy rains are expected over Marathwada during 11th to 14th June, Konkan and Goa during 12th to 16th June, Madhya Maharashtra and extremely heavy rains over Konkan and Goa on 13th and 14th June.
Light to moderate rain is likely to continue at some places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days. Light to moderate rain is likely at some places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during June 11 to 12 with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at the speed of 40 to 50 kmph.
Thunderstorms are likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha during 11th to 14th June, Bihar during 13th to 16th June and Vidarbha on 11th and 12th June, Chhattisgarh during 11th to 14th June and Bihar on 12th and 13th June.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that light to moderate rain is likely to continue at some places in Northeast India during the next 7 days. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during June 11 to 16, and heavy rain is likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during June 10 to 16.
On June 11, light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds with speed of 30 to 40 kmph are likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
