People who have been struggling with the heat for a long time in Delhi will now get some relief. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of storm and rain in Delhi-NCR for the next three days.
IMD has issued a yellow alert in Delhi and predicted heavy thunderstorms and rain from June 21 to June 26. Due to the rain, there will be a slight drop in the temperature of Delhi.
How will be the weather in Delhi
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is now in an active phase and may soon reach other areas including eastern Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon usually arrives in Delhi by June 27, but this time there are signs of it arriving a little earlier. Although the exact date of the arrival of the monsoon has not been decided, light to moderate rain and strong winds are expected in the coming days.
The sky may remain cloudy on Tuesday and Wednesday and winds may blow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. In the next two days, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 36-37 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, the sky may remain cloudy on 25 and 26 June but no rain has been predicted. However, there will be no change in temperature. These days the maximum temperature may remain around 34-35 degrees and the minimum temperature may remain around 27 degrees.
There will be rain in Noida and Ghaziabad too
At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued for rain and thunder in Noida and Ghaziabad. According to the Lucknow Center, there may be intermittent rain in western UP for the next few days.
An orange alert was also issued with a warning of heavy rain on Monday, but there was only light drizzle in Noida and Ghaziabad remained cloudy. Strong winds blew in Greater Noida West and the temperature dropped slightly due to continuous cloud cover, which brought some relief even amidst the humidity.
