It is reported that in the new year, the corporation is preparing to increase the salary of these workers by 10 to 30 percent. 450 workers of the corporation will get the benefit of this.
In fact, recently in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation Board, talks were held between a delegation of the leaders of the Municipal Corporation Safai Karamchari Sangh and Municipal Commissioner Sunil Kumar Pandey. In this, the union had requested to take a decision in the light of the decision taken regarding the salary hike of the corporation employees. The Municipal Commissioner assured the leaders of the organization that the process related to the salary hike will be completed as soon as the proceedings register of the decision taken in the board is received. There is a possibility that the salary of the employees can be increased from the new year.
There can be a 10 to 30 percent increase in salary
It is reported that the salary of the workers will be increased by at least 10 to 30 percent. Currently, the workers get a salary of Rs 12,000 per month at the rate of four hundred per day, which can reach 18 to 20 thousand. Employee union leader Siyaram Singh said that in 2023, it was decided in the board to give 18 thousand to the Safai Mazdoor, 20 thousand to the Safai Jamadar, 25 thousand to the clerk. Here, Mayor Laxmi Narayan Gupta has approved the demand for salary hike of Safai Karamcharis and the salary hike will be implemented soon.
DA of 5th and 6th Pay Commission has increased only last week
Let us tell you that recently the cabinet of Nitish Kumar government of Bihar had decided to increase the DA of government employees and pensioners coming under the 5th and 6th commission. This increase has been made effective from 1 July 2024. Under this, the DA of the employees getting the benefit of fifth pay scale has increased by 12% from 443% to 455%, while the DA of the employees getting sixth pay scale has increased by 7%, due to which their DA has increased from 239% to 246%. These employees and pensioners will get the benefit of increased DA in the salary pension of January.
