Tejashwi Yadav News: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday (June 29, 2025) claimed that the NDA is going to be out of power in Bihar. He made a big announcement that if the Mahagathbandhan government is formed, the Waqf Act brought by the central government will be thrown into the dustbin. He was addressing the ‘Save Waqf, Save Constitution’ rally organized at the historic Gandhi Maidan.
‘Knocked the door of the court against this law’
Tejashwi Yadav said, “Our national president Lalu Prasad has made it clear that RJD will strongly oppose this law. Our MPs opposed it in both the houses of Parliament. We have also knocked the door of the court against this law.
The BJP, which is in power at the Center and shares power in the state, has to be reminded that independence was achieved due to the sacrifices made by Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians and no one should behave as if the country is his father’s property.” He told the attendees, “Be alert to the Election Commission’s attempt to help the BJP by conducting a special intensive revision of the voter list. We have to counter it and foil any conspiracy to deprive people of their right to vote.”
What did Salman Khurshid say?
On the other hand, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Salman Khurshid, who was among the invited guests, spoke to reporters on the sidelines of the event. He said that the purpose of this program is to save Waqf, democracy and the pluralistic nature and culture of the country. He also said that his childhood was spent in Patna, when his grandfather Zakir Hussain was the Governor of Bihar.
Congress leaders who attended the rally also included Rajya Sabha members Imran Pratapgarhi and Syed Nasir Hussain. Independent MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav and AIMIM’s Bihar unit chief and MLA Akhtarul Iman were also present on the occasion.
