The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced changes to the fees for its Aadhaar-related services. The new fees will be applicable from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2028, and UIDAI has also fixed the fees for the next cycle (October 1, 2028, to September 30, 2031).

According to this, services that previously cost ₹50 will now cost ₹75, and services that used to cost ₹100 will now cost ₹125. Services that cost ₹75 will now cost ₹90, and services that cost ₹125 will now cost ₹150.

Regarding biometric updates, this service is free once for children aged 5 to 7 and adolescents aged 15 to 17. For all other age groups, the biometric update fee will be ₹125. However, to encourage timely updates, UIDAI has waived this fee for children aged 7 to 15 until September 30, 2026.

Demographic updates involve updating information such as name, gender, date of birth, address, mobile number, or email. This is free if done alongside a biometric update, but will now cost ₹75 (previously ₹50) if done separately.

Document update requires submitting proof of identity and address. If done through the myAadhaar portal, it is free until June 14, 2026. However, updating at an Aadhaar center will now incur a fee of ₹75 (previously ₹50).

The fee for home Aadhaar service has been fixed at ₹700 (including GST). If multiple people use the service at the same address, the charge will be ₹700 for the first person and ₹350 for each additional person.
