There will be heavy rain in entire Bihar today
Kaimur and Rohtas districts are expected to receive heavy rains today. Moderate to heavy rains are expected at many places in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan and Saran districts. There will be rain at one or two places in Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia and Katihar districts. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain at some places in the districts of South Bihar.

You will get relief from the sultry heat
During 4 and 5 July, most places in Kaimur (Bhabua), Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Arwal, Nawada, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Jamui, Sheikhpura and Lakhisarai districts are likely to receive moderate rainfall (up to 65 mm) and some places are likely to receive heavy rainfall (more than 65 mm).

Rainfall will be less this month as well

Even after this, most parts of Bihar are likely to receive less than normal rainfall. The average normal rainfall this month is 340.5 mm. During June 2025, incidents of lightning were reported on a total of 19 days in the state. This month, the total monthly rainfall of the state was 36% less than normal. On June 19, 130.2 mm rainfall was recorded in Imamganj (Gaya) within 24 hours, which was the highest rainfall of the month.
