An order has been issued for teachers of government schools in Bihar. Under this, if transfer is not accepted, then the teacher can remain in his old school. But, teachers who do not join new schools will not be able to apply for voluntary transfer for the next one year. Primary Education Director Sahila issued an order in this regard on Saturday. On Thursday, the department transferred 26665 teachers and allotted them schools.
According to the department, the process of contributing/not contributing in the light of the transfer order will have to be completed by June 30. The transfer of teachers who do not submit the declaration regarding contributing/not contributing by June 30 will be cancelled from July 1. Those teachers who are not willing to contribute in the transferred school will download and sign a copy of the declaration form available on e-Shikshakosh. Then it will be uploaded on the e-Shikshakosh portal.
Such teachers will remain in their previous posting school till further orders. The department has said that any teacher can download his transfer order from e-Shikshakosh. The contribution form has to be downloaded from e-Shikshakosh itself and signed and countersigned by the headmaster of the new school. Then it has to be uploaded on e-Shikshakosh.
The Education Department has transferred 34 thousand primary teachers. According to the information, a total of 45,885 transfer applications were received from teachers of classes 1 to 5 in the state. The main reason for the transfer was stated to be the distance of the current school from the desired place. Out of these applications, 34,441 teachers have been transferred within their district or to other districts. The remaining applications could not be considered due to the unfavorable student-teacher ratio in the current school or the schools selected by them.
