A special campaign was started in urban areas across the state from Tuesday to make Ayushman cards for the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. This special campaign will run till January 10. Cards will be made by setting up camps in Health and Wellness Center, Chief Medical Officer Office, Government Hospitals, Ration Shops and Government Offices.
There are 3.48 crore beneficiaries in the eligibility list of National Food Security Act. As against this, ration cards have been made for only 1.30 crore beneficiaries till now. In such a situation, Ayushman cards have to be made for the remaining 2.18 crore beneficiaries.
At the same time, Ayushman cards will be made for 49.74 lakh families in the eligible list of eligible household ration cards who have five or more members in their household. Beneficiaries can also apply online from home through the Ayushman app.
At the same time, beneficiaries can get the card made by calling on toll free numbers 14555 and 180018004444. It is known that under this scheme, a beneficiary family is given the facility of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in a year.
