A Class 10 student in an Ahmedabad school committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor. CCTV footage showed the girl spinning a key ring in the lawn before jumping. Police are investigating the matter.
A tragic incident shook everyone on Thursday at Som Lalit School located in Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. A 16-year-old 10th class student committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the school. The CCTV footage of the school showed that the student was walking in the lobby at around 12:30 pm, twisting a key ring, and suddenly she jumped across the railing.
The friends tried to stop her but failed. The incident happened when the second recess was going on in the school. After the student jumped, there was a lot of commotion in the school. The students of the class ran towards the railing. The teacher also came out. But no one was able to understand anything.
Died in hospital due to serious injuries
After jumping, the student suffered serious injuries, including a deep head injury and fractures in the bones of the arms and legs. She was immediately rushed to the nearby Nidhi Hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU. Later, the family shifted her to another hospital in Thaltej, but she died during treatment.

Navrangpura police has registered a medico-legal case in this matter and started investigation. Police have recorded the statements of teachers, staff and some students of the school. CCTV footage is being investigated, in which the last moments of the student can be clearly seen.
