PM Kisan e-KYC Update: The central government has made e-KYC verification mandatory for farmers availing the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Pm Kisan 20th Installment Date: The farmers of the country have been waiting for the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for a long time. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had released the 19th installment of PM Kisan on 24 February 2025.

Under this scheme, a new installment of Rs 2000 is issued every four months. At the same time, a total financial assistance of Rs 6000 is paid to eligible farmers in 1 year. But, to take advantage of this scheme, farmers have to fulfill some necessary eligibility. This also includes e-KYC verification.

E-KYC verification mandatory

Actually, the central government has made e-KYC verification mandatory for farmers availing the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. If you have not completed it yet, then get it done as soon as possible. This process is very easy. e-kyc can be done in many ways. Its purpose is to transfer the amount of the scheme directly to the bank account linked to the Aadhaar of the farmers.

These are two easy ways to do eKYC

Farmers can complete the eKYC process through Aadhaar OTP and biometrics. You can do it in two ways.

1.OTP based eKYC

  • This process is available on the PM Kisan portal or mobile app. For this, the farmer’s mobile number should be linked to Aadhaar.
  • Follow these steps to do eKYC:
  • First of all go to the official website of PM Kisan pmkisan.gov.in.
  • Select the eKYC option on the homepage.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number and complete eKYC by submitting OTP.

2.Biometric based eKYC

  • If you are not able to do OTP based eKYC, then you can go to your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK).
  • Go to the nearest CSC or SSK with your Aadhaar card and mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
  • The operator there will complete your eKYC process through Aadhaar-based biometric verification.
