From July 7 to July 13, very heavy rains may occur in many areas including North India, Northeast India, West, Central and South India. The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alerts in many states.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be extremely heavy rains at different places in Himachal Pradesh from July 7 to 13. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Uttarakhand and eastern Rajasthan during this period.

According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rains may continue at some places in Madhya Pradesh during July 7 to 13. There is a possibility of rain in Jharkhand, Gangetic plains of West Bengal, Odisha, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh till July 8.

According to the Meteorological Department, during the next 7 days, many areas of North India may witness light to moderate rains along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at the speed of 30 to 40 kmph.
