Bihar School News: The government has approved the plan to set up libraries in 43,779 primary schools of the state. The Finance Department has approved this proposal of the Education Department. Instructions have been issued to implement it in the current financial year itself.
Hall will be constructed
Under this scheme, Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Construction Corporation will construct new halls in schools. Libraries will be operated in it. Rs 134.34 crore has been approved for the scheme.
Preparations in full swing
According to an official of Bihar Education Project Council, this scheme is being run under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. The necessary financial assistance for this has also been provided by the central government. District education officers have been instructed to mark the schools in which halls are to be constructed for the library and submit the list within a week.
In addition, schools which already have libraries will be upgraded. Also, librarians will be appointed in all these libraries. New rules have been prepared for this, which will be implemented by the end of June.
