Is it necessary to take part in both the examinations?
It is mandatory for all students to appear in the first board examination. Taking part in the second phase examination is optional and you can take part in it to improve the marks. At the same time, internal assessment will be done only once.
How many subjects can one take the exam again?
According to the information given by the board, all the passed and eligible students will be allowed to appear in the examination to improve their performance in any three subjects from science, mathematics, social science and languages.
Who will not get a chance?
If a student has not appeared in 3 or more subjects in the first examination, then he will not be allowed to appear in the second examination. Such students will be placed in the “necessary repetition” category and they can appear in the main examinations only in the month of February next year.
What will happen to those who get supplementary?
Students whose result in the first examination is compartment, such students will be allowed to appear in the second examination under the compartment category. Additional subjects will not be allowed after passing class 10th.
Which students will get special benefit
Sports students will be allowed to appear in the second examination in those subjects whose examinations coincide with their sports event. Students of winter bound schools can choose to appear in the first examination or second examination in the proposed subjects.
When will the exams be held?
The main or first exam will start in the middle of February. The second exam will be conducted in the month of May.
Which students will get a chance in the second exam?
- Those who want to re-appear in a maximum of three subjects.
- Those who have compartment in their result.
What is the rule regarding the syllabus?
Both the exams will be conducted on the basis of the entire syllabus prescribed for the year. The pattern of the exam will also be the same in both the exams. Please note that the exam centers will also be the same.
What will be the conditions?
It is mandatory to appear in the first exam and fill the LOC. A separate LOC will be filled for the second exam. No new name will be added to the LOC of the second exam. Change of subject from the first exam to the second exam will not be allowed.
When will the results be released?
The result of the first exam will be declared in the month of April while the result of the second exam will be declared in the month of June. The performance of the first exam will be made available in DigiLocker. Through this, admission can be obtained in class 11th. The eligibility certificate will be issued only after the second examination.
